I have been helping Iranian writer, F. Mehrban, translate her poetry and a novel from Farsi into English – I only get involved once she has translated them into English, I don’t speak Farsi. Two of the poems have just been published in the lastest issue of Modern Poetry in Translation (series 3 issue 12, Freed Speech). They’re on page 54 – just before Seamus Heaney’s contribution.
The issue was launched at Amnesty International’s London headquarters on 30th September and three of F. Mehrban’s poems were read at the event by Richard Trinder. The recordings will be available in the British Library.
